Bad Program

Bad programming in society,
Has established mass insanity;
Criminal turmoil does much to reflect,
Man’s total loss of self-respect.

Entrenched in us from date of birth,
Is an overwhelming lack of worth;
Having been taught, so shall we,
Program our children helplessly.

How firmly do we expect success?
Why do we feel ‘second best?’
How do we untie the knots
That foster self-defeatist thoughts?

Everything done and everything learned,
Yields a better person in turn;
But people who have no self-esteem,
Are afraid to try or even dream!

Make a little effort each day,
To reprogram yourself in a positive way;
An enlightened mind can break the mold,
Of the errant program’s destructive hold.
