Cradled by Trees

Cradled by Trees
James Dinsmore

Nature let’s share the feeling,
May neither of us speak;
For words will shatter our sharing,
For our common ground is weak.

The trees alone seem to understand,
And the soft waves of a lake comfort me;
The rhythm heals my bruised mind,
The clouds will help me see.

I am an orphan,
But the sky has not abandoned me,
With nature I’m not alone;
And I can trust the trees to cradle me,
Until the ground will lead me home.

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Psalm 27:10 KJV
